02 / The artist

Between the observed
and the felt.

Guadalupe Vargas Stepanenko is a Mexican physician and watercolor artist. With a master’s degree in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and a doctorate in Psychoanalysis, she approaches painting as another way to explore nature, perception, and the inner world.

She began her formal study of watercolor in 2022 at the Museo Nacional de la Acuarela “Alfredo Guati Rojo”, under José Rodríguez Sánchez. She has continued her artistic training through workshops with Susana Abundis and Rosario Domínguez.

Her work is inspired by nature and the inner dimensions of human experience. Transparency, spontaneity, and transformation become ways of expressing what exists between the observed and the felt.

The practice

Transparency.Spontaneity.Transformation.
